[Search-Engines] Cannot get accustomed to language specific behavior

Good morning.

I do probably not know how search engines work.

My question is: Do you have an *idea* about why the language used for my search, makes such a big differenc as regards the type of results that I get?

There is more content in English"

Thanks for that one, I am aware of it. But I use the Random Searx Redirector at https://searx.neocities.org/nojs and the phenomenon is - in my opinion - more complex.

If I let a few different search-engines do the work, the results for an English search-expression are whatever they are. A similar search in French or German virtually excludes most search engines and the results are produced pratically by Google alone (roughly). This may, again, come from the enormous amount of data at Googles and the relatively ... whatever ... less content that other engines may know of.

However, Qwant, Bing, Duckduckgo.., Yahoo. I cannot believe that it makes such a big difference. It is unnerving. With Searx I have the liberty to choose engines, but that does not makes much sense anymore.
