Dolphins' Phillips suffers torn Achilles in win over Jets
Miami Dolphins pass-rusher Jaelan Phillips suffered a torn Achilles in Friday's win over the New York Jets, head coach Mike McDaniel confirmed Saturday, according to NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe.
Additionally, McDaniel noted that left tackle Terron Armstead is week-to-week with a quad injury.
Phillips sustained the injury while attempting to rush the quarterback on a fourth-quarter play and needed to be carted off the field.

The 24-year-old was on crutches and had a boot on his right foot following the contest, according to David Furones of the Sun Sentinel.
Phillips posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, after the game.
Absolutely devastated, but I feel strength in knowing that this is all a part of God's plan, and that I have an incredible team and support system around me. I'll be back stronger than ever Fins up

McDaniel feared it was an Achilles injury postgame, telling reporters that it "didn't look great," per Joe Schad of the Palm Beach Post.
Miami was up 27-6 when the ailment occurred. Miami jumped to an early 17-6 lead in the contest after returning an interception 99 yards on the last play of the first half.
Phillips had one of his better games of the year Friday, finishing with one sack, two quarterback hits, and three tackles for loss.
MetLife Stadium's turf has previously received criticism from players and media. Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffered a torn Achilles tendon at the stadium in the season's first game.
"Since being in the league, I've heard that field is trash," Dolphins safety Jevon Holland said, per Schad.
The Dolphins won the contest 34-13, improving their record to 8-3.
