Have we lost kdenlive for mp4 project?
by however from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6GR87)
I read a few recent thread of ffmpeg being upgraded to 6.1 and whether or not it will be in slaclware 15.1 etc...
An application that heavily relies on ffmpeg is kdenlive and it seems that neither the current "ffmpeg-5.1.4" nor the "ffmpeg-5.1.3.alien" work on slackware-current/kdenlive to encode/decode mp4 projects. (I couldn't find a newer ffmpeg version from AlienBob's repo)
During slackpkg update/upgrade-all I always disable the ffmpeg package as I prefer alienBob's package due to its bigger library of codecs. After the last system upgrade it doesn't work anymore. KDEnlive has a big fat X with red highlight on the mp4 rendering codec. I tried to reinstall AlienBob's package but didn't solve the issue.
Is it just me again? am i missing something? does anyone have kdenlive fully working with (what version of) ffmpeg?
Thank you
