Injured New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas wasn't happy with what he saw from quarterback Derek Carr during Sunday's 33-28 loss to the Detroit Lions.

Thomas seemingly took multiple shots at Carr during the matchup with New Orleans' offense struggling. The Lions held on for the victory after opening a 21-0 lead in the first quarter at Caesars Superdome. New Orleans' offense gained some momentum later in the contest and tried to mount a comeback but fell short in the fourth quarter.

Carr completed 17 of 22 pass attempts for 226 yards and one touchdown against one interception before exiting in the fourth quarter with back and shoulder injuries. The veteran signal-caller also entered the concussion protocol and was replaced by Jameis Winston.

Thomas deleted his account on X, formerly known as Twitter, after the game.

Fans also voiced their frustration with the Carr-led offense Sunday. New Orleans supporters loudly cheered every time situational quarterback Taysom Hill entered the game in place of Carr, who was then booed upon returning under center for the snap, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

Hill scored a 1-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. Winston went 2-for-5 with 41 yards in his brief appearance.

The Saints signed Carr to a four-year contract this past offseason but have averaged only 21.4 points per game and have now dropped to 5-7.
