Report: Dolphins, Austin Jackson ink 3-year, $36M extension
The Miami Dolphins and right tackle Austin Jackson have agreed to a three-year, $36-million extension, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
The deal is worth a maximum of $39 million and contains $20.7 million guaranteed, per Rapoport.
Jackson has started 12 games for the Dolphins this season, protecting the blindside of left-handed quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
The Dolphins selected Jackson in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft with the 18th overall pick. The selection was acquired from the Pittsburgh Steelers in a 2019 trade involving former Miami safety Minkah Fitzpatrick.
The USC product has started 42 games since entering the NFL.
