So this group is Parfait's the guys" she hung out with in high-school. At least mostly. Demon education is a little different than typical schooling, in that high-school is general study, but takes them closer to what we'd consider an associate's degree, then college is almost all vocational. Succubi have their finishing schools, and the first draft of this page had Lulu mention that Brelx was attending Demon Lording" school, (though clarified that's not what it's really called). They still get to hang out though, because often a given warlord's domain will have a college town" with multiple campuses clustered around a town center. For as much as demons claim to be into chaos and all that, it doesn't mean they can't design sensible municipal layouts. I mean, there's chaos, sure, that's great and all, but they're not going to say no to easily accessible restaurants and cinemas and blood sports arenas. It's nice to have a bit of a theme as a race, or as a collection of similar races, but it didn't take long for them to realize that laying out their roads like the labyrinths of insanity was just wildly inefficient and only punished themselves.

Oh, Kraken is a cameo character, and Zdorovo" is just Russian for Hola." It doesn't mean Kraken is Russian. He just likes saying that like Sydney likes saying hola."

BW11-150x240.jpgBinding Words 11 is out, and this one wraps the series. It's always nice when an author can draw a story to a natural conclusion. I know the numbers of readers always tend to fall off after the first book in a series. I mean, if you look at the number of reviews a book gets over at amazon, no matter the author, book 2 usually have about half to 60% the number of reviews as book 1. After that, each book usually sees about a 10% attrition rate. Not always, but a lot of them follow that pattern. I know reviews aren't indicative of sales necessarily, but it's the only easy metric Amazon lets people get a look at. I guess a lot of people will venture into a series but then decide it's not for them or just forget to ever buy book 2 in a series. I'm kind of bad about trying the demos for video games then never getting the actual game because I kind of got what I wanted from the demo. You know, just a feel for that core gameplay loop. I think some people are like that with books.

Actually, what I'm really bad about is buying a game, playing it one time for like 45 minutes, then never playing it again. Basically treating the game as a demo. But I usually only do that with games I get on sale.

Anyway. I haven't finished the book yet, but it's on track to be as good as the rest. Binding Words is my favorite of Daniel Schinhofen's various series, though Aether's Revival is up there too.

Well, Dabbler is doing her Dabbler things, and the Patreon version has a nude variant and a comic that... I don't know, expounds on the goings on of the initial picture?
