Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence cleared the league's concussion protocol, the team announced Saturday.

Lawrence is traveling with the Jaguars to Tampa Bay for the club's Week 16 matchup against the Buccaneers.

Head coach Doug Pederson said Monday that Lawrence entered protocol due to a hit he took in the team's 23-7 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday Night Football.

Lawrence didn't practice Wednesday and Thursday but was a limited participant Friday. The injury report states that Lawrence is still battling an ankle injury he suffered on Dec. 4 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Clemson product has never missed a start since entering the league as the first overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Lawrence has 3,525 passing yards with 18 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in 14 games played this campaign.

Jacksonville will look to end a three-game losing streak in Tampa Bay on Sunday.
