Thumb Drive Not Detected After Reformatting Fail
by Sumguy from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6HCHS)
Hey Guys!
I was trying to delete files on my thumb drive, which for some reason were "read only", so I had to reformat the drive (Don't remember the exact command I used...but it involved unmount and then the deal where it writes all 0's to the drive).
Now my thumb drive is not being detected.
If I do
Code:lsusbI see the thumb drive listed as:
Code:Bus 001 Device 010: ID abcd:1234 UnknownWhat can I do to get the 'puter to recognize the drive so I can use it again?
(OS: an ancient version of Bunsenlabs Linux )
I know it's not the computer...as the thumb drive was detected before I reformatted, both on this desktop and on my laptop- and now is not detected on either.
