Broncos waive Kareem Jackson after pair of suspensions
The Denver Broncos waived safety Kareem Jackson, according to ESPN's Field Yates.
Jackson has been suspended twice this season for illegal hits.
The 35-year-old's roster exemption for his most recent suspension ended Monday. The team was required to activate or cut him.
Jackson's first suspension came after an illegal hit to Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft in Week 7. He received another ban after a hit to quarterback Joshua Dobbs upon his return in Week 11.
P.J. Locke has racked up 21 total tackles (two for loss), a pair of forced fumbles, and three sacks in the last five contests amid Jackson's absences.
Jackson has forfeited over $850,000 for his illegal hits this season.
