Seahawks release veteran pass-rusher Clark; Adams hits IR
The Seattle Seahawks made several roster moves Saturday ahead of their Week 17 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Seattle released former Pro Bowl pass-rusher Frank Clark and placed safety Jamal Adams and wide receiver Dee Eskridge on injured reserve.
Clark, who was in the midst of his second stint with Seattle, is being placed on waivers. He was brought in shortly after Uchenna Nwosu was lost for the season in October with a season-ending pectoral injury.
The 30-year-old Clark appeared in six games, recording six tackles in limited action. He saw his playing time diminish in recent weeks, playing just seven defensive snaps in Week 15 before being ruled inactive in last week's win over the Tennessee Titans.
Clark spent the first four seasons of his career with the Seahawks before being traded to the Kansas City Chiefs in 2019. He signed with the Denver Broncos in June but was released in October.
Adams lands on the reserve list after being inactive over the past two weeks while dealing with a knee ailment.
Eskridge has missed the past four games for Seattle with a rib issue.
The Seahawks also ruled out Jordyn Brooks for Sunday's game against the Steelers. Brooks was listed as questionable after being a limited participant in the team's final injury report due to an ankle issue, but he was downgraded Saturday. Devin Bush is expected to see more snaps Sunday.
