Miami Dolphins pass-rusher Bradley Chubb will miss the remainder of the season after tearing his ACL in Sunday's 56-19 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, head coach Mike McDaniel announced Monday, according to NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe.

The veteran pass-rusher was carted off after the injury, which occurred with only three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. The Dolphins trailed by 30 points at the time.

Head coach Mike McDaniel said postgame he wouldn't have kept Chubb in the game if he knew he was going to get hurt, according to ESPN's Marcel Louis-Jacques.

"It doesn't look very smart at all," McDaniel added.

Chubb's major injury leaves the Dolphins severely depleted. Miami already lost edge rusher Jaelan Phillips to a torn Achilles earlier this season.

Chubb suffered a partially torn ACL during the 2019 season.

McDaniel also said cornerback Xavien Howard isn't expected to play in the upcoming Week 18 game against the Buffalo Bills due to a foot injury and is week-to-week, per Louis-Jacques. However, Howard's injury shouldn't require surgery.
