[SOLVED] [emacs] Hide backup files
by gregors from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6HGRQ)
Hi there,
is it possible to make emacs save its backup files as "hidden" files? Seeing those in 'ls -l' listings is somewhat disturbing/distracting.
E.g.
Code:.file.txtinstead of
Code:file.txt~TIA
