The NFL fined Carolina Panthers owner David Tepper $300,000 for his "unacceptable conduct" during the team's 26-0 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 17, according to Judy Battista of NFL.com.

A video shows Tepper seemingly throwing the contents of a cup into the crowd below his suite Sunday at EverBank Stadium before storming off. A Jaguars fan immediately reacted by climbing up toward the suite.

"We are aware of the video and have no further comment at this time," an NFL spokesperson tells @josephperson.

Tepper released a statement Tuesday after being fined.

"I am deeply passionate about this team and regret my behavior on Sunday," he said, according to Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports. "I should have let NFL stadium security handle any issues that arose. I respect the NFL's code of conduct and accept the league's discipline for my behavior."

The Panthers have been one of the NFL's most disappointing teams this season. Despite selecting quarterback Bryce Young first overall in the 2023 NFL Draft, Carolina has posted only a 2-14 record.

The team has also locked up the No. 1 pick in 2024, but that choice belongs to the Chicago Bears as part of the trade made by the Panthers to select Young last year. Carolina hasn't made the playoffs since 2017.
