Defendant attacks judge in Las Vegas during sentencing – video

The Clark county district court Judge Mary Kay Holthus was attacked by a defendant during a sentencing hearing on Wednesday. Deobra Redden had pleaded guilty to attempted battery with substantial bodily harm and had asked the judge not to send him to prison but when she appeared to decline this request, Redden lunged over the bench at her. Neveda state records show he had previously served prison time on a domestic battery conviction
