R.I.P. Niklaus Wirth (1934-2024): The Inventor of Pascal
by sundialsvcs from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6HMM7)
Niklaus Wirth has died, just short of his 90th birthday. (He died on New Year's Day.) He will forever be remembered (among other things) as the inventor of the programming language, Pascal.
But there is far more to this man than first meets the eye of programmers. link
Betcha didn't know this: "In his 31 years at ETH Zurich, Wirth developed new programming languages such as Euler, PL360, Algol W, Pascal, Modula, Modula 2, Oberon and LoLa."
