Xfce unresponsive keyboard for 60 seconds after a boot/reboot
by pedpup2 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6HN43)
Running SolydX 2019( Debian ), in HP 8560p, i7, 16GB ram and xfce desktop.
Problem started only recently...
After a boot or reboot, or after logging out/in ( Ctrl-Alt-BkSpace),
certain keys do not work for about 60 seconds.
These include <super>, Alt-F1, F2,F3, Tab..seem to be navigation keys and
shortcuts.
The mouse remains functional. And , if I click the start button - the
whiskermenu come up as usual, and I can type a program name in the search
box. Also, typing in a text editor works. So normal ascii keys work.
If I type Alt-F3 ( nothing happens ), after 60 seconds, the app menu
pops up.
and all the other keys become functional.
Any ideas where I can look? Are there logs, config files? No errors pop up
on screen.
I have a Debian 12 install on the same computer, and the problem does not happen
there, and, before about a week ago, The SolydX install did not have it.
