Laptop Charger broken and replacement option?
by Novatian from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6HSZY)
My Dell Latitude E7250 is not charging and I think it is the power pack, it no longer lights up, but does not overheat.
I have a spare old Dell charger with the same connector size, so it fits my laptop, but may burn it out. It was made for an old Dell laptop, a bigger one. For use with Adapter PA 10 or PA 12. It is PA 12 family, and my laptop and the charger are output DC 19.5 V, the old laptop is for 4.62 A. The new is for that or 3.34 A. And the charger is for the latter output.
I can ask a computer shop man for help, or is it worth trying the old adapter?
