Red Wings head coach Derek Lalonde didn't have an update on Kane after the game, which Detroit won 4-2.

"I don't think it's related to his hip, but again, I don't have all the information on it yet," Lalonde said, per NHL.com's Nick Cotsonika.

Kane had hip resurfacing surgery in the offseason, forcing him to miss the beginning of the 2023-24 campaign as a free agent.

The 35-year-old winger entered Sunday's contest with 16 points in 18 games after signing a one-year, $2.75-million contract with the Red Wings in November.
