Enhancing prison security: New drone legislation

To reinforce prison security, the UK had passed a law making drone flights within 400 meters of prisons illegal from 25 January 2024, addressing the rise in drone-smuggled contraband. Altitude Angel updated its flight planning tools to reflect these 'no-fly zones'. Violations could result in fines or imprisonment, strengthening the Air Traffic and Unmanned Aircraft Act 2021 and Prison Act 1952.
