London dog walker finds newborn girl in shopping bag

Metropolitan police trying to trace mother, who they say will need urgent medical attention

A newborn baby girl is being cared for in hospital after she was found in a shopping bag by a dog walker in east London, the Metropolitan police have said.

The baby was found wrapped in a towel in a shopping bag at the junction of Greenway and High Street South, Newham.
