Flowcopter lands funding from Scottish Enterprise to develop greener, greater drones to rival helicopters
Flowcopter, a manufacturer of unmanned aerial vehicles, has secured 950,000 from Scottish Enterprise for a new hybrid drone project. The FC100 drone can carry up to 100kgs using 70% less fuel than helicopters, targeting sectors from retail to emergency rescue. The investment contributes to a total 1.9million funding, creating seven jobs and pushing Scotland's innovation and green economic growth. The company, a spin-out from Artemis Intelligent Power, will expand its team from its new Midlothian base, advancing in aerospace decarbonization.
