Fans shrug off study debunking love languages: ‘We didn’t pull it out of thin air’

Research has cast doubt on the longstanding framework. But for some, it's an inextricable part of the dating lexicon

Her friends turned her on to a quiz that purports to tell you how you best receive and express love. It is based on The 5 Love Languages: How to Express Heartfelt Commitment to Your Mate. The book has sold 20m copies since being published by Gary Chapman in 1992.
