Cara Delevingne to star as Sally Bowles in hit West End show Cabaret
The model and actor will make her stage debut alongside Luke Treadaway who takes over the role of the Emcee
Cara Delevingne is to make her stage debut in the West End's multi-award-winning revival of Cabaret. The model and actor will play Sally Bowles when she joins the cast next month, along with Luke Treadaway who will take over as the Emcee. The parts are currently played by Self Esteem (AKA Rebecca Lucy Taylor) and Jake Shears in Rebecca Frecknall's intimate production, which opened in 2021 with Jessie Buckley and Eddie Redmayne leading the cast.
There are no words to explain the excitement I have to return home to make my stage debut in such an iconic role," said Delevingne, who was born in London and has a home in Los Angeles. I am so inspired by the brilliant actors who have played Sally in past productions around the world and in this one in the West End. I cannot wait to be a part of this brilliant cast and production." Delevingne's recent screen roles have included Only Murders in the Building and she presented the documentary Planet Sex with Cara Delevingne.
