Kelce: Bumping Reid 'definitely unacceptable'
With the Kansas City Chiefs trailing early in the Super Bowl, Travis Kelce was captured shouting at Andy Reid before bumping into his coach and momentarily knocking him off balance.
Reid and Kelce downplayed the sideline spat after the Chiefs came back to beat the San Francisco 49ers in overtime, and the star tight end said Wednesday on his "New Heights" podcast that his actions were "definitely unacceptable."
"I can't get that fired up to the point where I'm bumping coach and it's getting him off balance and stuff," Kelce said. "When he stumbled, I was like, 'Aw, shit' in my head."
Kelce said he wasn't angry at Reid and that his outburst was about telling his coach that he could rely on him to turn around the game. He added that he immediately wished he could take it back.
"He's checked me a few times, and I just wanted to let him know that I wanted this thing and that he can put it on me and I got him," Kelce said. "It just came in a moment where we weren't playing very well. I wasn't playing very well, and we had to get some shit going."

Kelce said he and Reid "chuckled" about the incident Tuesday.
Jason Kelce said his brother "crossed the line" by getting in his coach's face and explained that they both often struggle to control their emotions during games.
After catching just one pass in the first half, the Chiefs tight end helped spark his team's comeback by finishing with nine receptions for 93 yards.
