The love of old tech gadgets.

I've special love for self-contained gadgets, such as PDA. 'Self-contained' means devices with display and controls running on battery, can be used without connecting to the computer. I watched a video about the Palm PDA recently, it was one of my old PDAs back then. I especially loved the Tungsten T, it's pretty, full metal with buttons. Btw the old resistive touch screen is more practical than the current over-sensitive capacitive touch ones which easily miss-trigger. My first PDA was the PSION Organizer II, the special thing about it was it has an optional data pack, those packs are EPROM that can be reprogrammed on device. The PDA ran on a 9V cell, when you program the data pack you will hear a light clicking sound and you know it is doing something, very weird but I enjoy using it ! If I remember right, the EPROM was on socket, so that can be replaced by users. Then later I got the 5MX with keyboard, I used it together with a Nokia phone to connect to the internet with my dial up a/c via IR, IR was a standard issue on cell phone back then, then later the Smartphone era started. I also loved those electronic measuring equipment like pocket multimeter and oscilloscope....etc., those can be used standalone or connected to computers. What's your love on old tech gadgets ?
