[SOLVED] Firmware updates wrecked my Dell Inspiron 3847

Looked on the web to see if this could be reversed but it look like a really tough ask.
Does anyone here know of a simple way to do it as my PC is really slow and the graphics crawl along.
I made the mistake of installing Q4OS and not setting Updates to Manual instead of Automatic. My Dell is virtually unusable.
Is it "bin time and get another one" or can it be recovered?
Any help most gratefully received. :doh:
