Steve Belichick says dad Bill eyeing possible TV job

Bill Belichick could be pursuing a new career path after parting ways with the New England Patriots.

Belichick's son, former Patriots assistant Steve Belichick, provided an update on his father during a recent appearance on the "Green Light" podcast, saying he's been in good spirits since leaving New England. Steve also revealed that his dad has been eyeing a possible job in television.

"Yeah, I think he's good," Steve said. "Let the stuff roll off your back and move forward. He doesn't dwell unless we lost a game and he needs to get on some guys but, you know, eventually, you gotta turn the page. Honestly, I wasn't too involved in any of that stuff - he did his thing, I did my thing, and that was kind of that.

"He's definitely pursuing some other stuff, whether it's TV or hopefully a regular on 'Green Light' or whatever it may be."

The elder Belichick, who spent 24 seasons with the Patriots, interviewed for the Atlanta Falcons' head coaching job in January but was passed over in favor of former Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris.

Steve was recently hired by Washington to be the Huskies' new defensive coordinator.
