Packers release David Bakhtiari after 11 seasons
The Green Bay Packers are releasing offensive tackle David Bakhtiari, he announced Monday on social media.
A lot of emotion in this. I just want to say THANK YOU Green Bay. Thank you for the last 11 years. It's been a hell of a run. I always wanted to raise a Lombardi on Lombardi avenue, but I will never complain. I gave it my all. I always gave it my best no matter the circumstance... pic.twitter.com/dnc7gkKSAC

Bakhtiari has been with the Packers since they selected him in the fourth round of the 2013 draft. He's a three-time Pro Bowler and secured first-team All-Pro honors twice.
The Packers will save $20.9 million in cap space by releasing him, according to Over The Cap. He was scheduled to have a $40-million cap hit in 2024.
Bakhtiari has battled knee injuries that limited him to 13 games over the last three seasons.
