New Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley didn't appreciate former New York Giants running back Tiki Barber criticizing him for leaving the franchise for a division rival.

Barber said Monday on WFAN's "Evan and Tiki" show that Barkley "is dead to us now" after hearing that the running back was headed to Philadelphia, according to Scott Thompson of Fox News. Barber said earlier that Barkley going to the Eagles would be "insulting" to his Giants legacy.

That prompted multiple responses from Barkley, who accused Barber of being a "hater."

"You been a hater since I got to New York ... and all the 'Dead to me' talk, don't smile in my face when you see me," Barkley wrote on X.

@TikiBarber lol yup you're the prime example of loyalty to a team.. I got the deal I wanted, secured more gm which wasn't given to me before... so if fans are gonna hate me for that so be it! But I never turned my back on my teammates and always had theirs https://t.co/6aKgJquD0F

The Eagles reportedly snatched the 27-year-old on a three-year, $37.75-million contract that contained a maximum value of $46.75 million and $26 million fully guaranteed.

The Giants franchise tagged Barkley last year but declined to do so again in 2024. The two sides were also unable to come to a long-term agreement last offseason, leading to him playing the 2023 campaign on a modified one-year deal.
