Future Hall of Famer Aaron Donald announces retirement
Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald announced on Friday that he's retiring from the NFL.
"For 10 years, I have been fortunate to play the game of football at the highest level," Donald wrote. "I'm thankful for the people I've met along the way, the relationships I've built and the things I've accomplished with my teammates and individually."
He added: "Not many people get drafted to a team, win a World Championship with that team and retire with that team. I do not, and will not, take that for granted."

Donald played the entirety of his 10-year career with the Rams. The Pitt product took home three Defensive Player of the Year awards, won Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2014, was named a first-team All-Pro eight times, and made 10 consecutive Pro Bowls.
In addition, he led the league in sacks in 2018 (20.5), topped all defenders in tackles for loss twice, and was named to the Hall of Fame's All-2010s Team.
The 32-year-old also won Super Bowl LVI. He contributed a pair of sacks, two tackles for loss, and three quarterback hits in the victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.
Donald finishes his career with 543 total tackles (176 for loss), 111 sacks, 260 quarterback hits, and 24 forced fumbles. His sack total ranks No. 28 on the all-time leaderboard.
