The Philadelphia Eagles and pass-rusher Josh Sweat agreed to terms on a restructured contract that will keep him with the team for the 2024 season, sources told Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Sweat's new deal includes $10 million guaranteed with a chance to reach $13 million with incentives, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.

The Eagles were reportedly fielding trade offers for the 26-year-old. Sweat was entering the final campaign of a three-year, $40-million extension he signed in 2021. He had no guaranteed money remaining on his old deal.

Philadelphia reportedly permitted edge rusher Haason Reddick to seek a trade due to contract issues. The Eagles signed former New York Jets pass-rusher Bryce Huff to a three-year, $51-million deal earlier this week.

Sweat has been with the Eagles since being drafted in the fourth round in 2018. He has blossomed into one of the league's better pass-rushers and had a breakout season in 2022, racking up 11 sacks and 23 quarterback hits.

However, the Florida State product's performances took a dip last season. He only totaled 6.5 sacks in 17 contests and failed to record a sack in the final eight regular-season games.

Sweat has 82 quarterback hits and 35 sacks in 88 career appearances.
