oracle linux 9 network-script network interface
by glib from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6KHE4)
Hello
Since Rhel 6 I have been using the network interface files under cd /etc/sysconfig/network-script to ip and manage my servers.
I also turn off and disable NetworkManager first thing because it gives me problems especially on my servers with two network cards.
I installed Oracle linux 9 and got a bad surprise, unfortunately ifcfg- network interfaces were removed. I installed it with packages but I could not give it an ip. It was never listed under enp0s3 network-script on a virtual server.
It is listed under /etc/NetworkManager and I cannot give ip without NetworkManager open.
Has it become mandatory to use NetworkManager?
Can't I continue with the old system without using NetworkManager?
