Organising Photos in Shotwell with Events and Tagging

Maybe this is too much of an open-ended question.

I'm using Shotwell to try and organise many photos. As far as I understand I can group photos into events and by tagging.

I see this is quite subjective, but I wondered what might be considered an "event". Imagine I go on a multi-day trip to Barcelona. All those photos, from that trip, is that one event? Or is the trip to Park Giell one event, and the trip to La Sagrada Familia Basilica another event?

If it's multiple events, what about photos taken between these trips, and other random pictures. What event do I put "Funny little green parrot", "Here's my breakfast", and "Here's a Barcelona underground train" pictures? Like a "Random Barcelona Pictures" event?

A lot of photos are random pictures of our kids playing in the park or the garden or the snow. Do I really want "Trip to park - 7th Feb 2023", "Trip to park - 10th Feb 2023", "Trip to park - 15th Feb 2023"? If not, then what do you group these random pictures into?

Then where do tags come into it? Initially I was thinking a tag for each family member, including one for the cat. Is there anything else that makes sense to tag? Or do I tag all the random park trips with a "park" tag, but still what event do I put them in?
