Any Luck with VMware Player / WorkStation with 6.9.X kernel and slackware64 current
by slack-uke from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6N410)
I run both VirtualBox 7.0.18 & VMware Player 17.5.2 on my slackware64 current box at home. I just keep VMware Player just for some old Microsoft OS VM's and rely more on VirtualBox.
I had noted that people had issues wrt 6.9.X kernel thus had kept my kernel at 6.6.30.
There had been discussions that the various patches for vmmon-only & vmnet-only modules work for some people and not for others for the 6.9.X kernel.

This developer has been working on a branch that has been implementing patches for the 6.9.X kernel:
https://github.com/nan0desu/vmware-h...-17.5.2-k6.9.1
There seems to be mixed reactions on whether it works for the 6.9.X kernel.
Has anybody else had success / failures in slackware64 current running the 6.9.X kernel?
