Problems Using an New External HDD.
by kevinbenko from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6N69M)
{I had a stroke in 2011, and am brain-damaged. And I will NEVER use Microsoft software nor Crapple software}
I added an external HDD backup Drive.
The new drive will only work with backups on /root, /opt, /usr, and /boot,
and will ignore /home/kevin, /home/MUSIC, and /MOVIES.
I have tried gparted several other applications, to no avail.
The new drive ALWAYS still puts everything in after using gparted, the offending directory which name I cannot recall does no longer appear, but just plain ignores those files named /home/kevin, /home/MUSIC, and /MOVIES.
Does anyone have any idea how to get this drive to work properly?
{PS: I have "turned off" secure-drive functionality {yeah... I checked} I have rebooted my system several times.}
Thank you for reading my question, and have yourself a great day!
