Optical drive tray on laptop keeps popping open

It's been an uncommon occurrence for a long time on this laptop. Though the last month or so it's become quite common and annoying. When it happens I run dmesg as root and never recognize anything relevant. It doesn't seem to be triggered by anything, just that the laptop be powered on (S0 state). Could you help me get to the bottom of this please? What else can I check?

The optical drive is a Dell DVD+RW module C3284-A00.
