Which GPU is used and how to pick
by lvsl123 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6N984)
This is my first time running a Linux copy on a computer instead of a virtual drive and set it up as a real pc. So when I check what I've got in neofetch, I'm not sure which gpu is running. Although I am pretty sure it's the Intel built in one in here. But that's only a guess because the intel one uses way less battery.
But anyways, my Nvidia one also appears in the list. I tried the Display option in Xfce but nothing about my GPU shows up.
Normally when I run it as windows (win10/11). I have the option to set which one I will want to use or Windows will sometimes decide it for me. My guess is the PC always use the Intel one and then bringing out the Nvidia one only if it needs to. It was in the settings menu. I'm searching for something similar in linux, but I don't have a clue at all.
Is there anything extra that I missed here?
