UUID of mdadm RAID arrays

I have a Linux workstation that has several mdadm RAID arrays. I am planning to upgrade the workstation to a new Linux release.
I am mounting these arrays in fstab using the array's UUID.
My question is whether the UUIDs for each array will remain the same or be regenerated to a new value by the new Linux release.
I looked at the man page but it wasn't clear.
