Restore image made on vmware to physical machine
by Micik from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6NBX5)
Hello,
I have virtualized ubuntu 20.04 machine and use it as a test in vmware to make many settings and deploy web application.
When I tested everything I have made Acronis backup image and restored this image to physical machine.
It appears that everything is working without problems, but during boot I noticed that vmware service is also starting up.
Now I wonder if should I try to remove vmware services from this machine and whether that could represent any problem in the future.
So far, as is I didn't notice anything problematic with vmware services (from vmware tools) existing on the machine, but still not sure whether I need to remove it or not.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
