entering online servers or making online servers in specific games (apex legends, content warning, etc) freezes my entire pc.

as the title suggests. some games freeze my entire pc when entering an online match, the games being, apex legends, content warning, and one armed robber. ive had similar freezes with minecraft (with shaders) and genshin but they take longer to happen. the online freezing takes less than a minute to make my entire desktop unusable. i had to hard reset it to use it once again

when running journalctl -b 1, it warned me of

Code:(process:8005): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: 14:12:38.796: g_object_unref: assertion 'G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failedand for some reason systemctl trying to unmount /efi

Code:Jun 15 14:13:48 fedora systemd[1]: Unmounting efi.mount - EFI System Partition Automount...
Jun 15 14:13:48 fedora systemd[1]: efi.mount: Deactivated successfully.
Jun 15 14:13:48 fedora systemd[1]: Unmounted efi.mount - EFI System Partition Automount....i am not sure of what issue could cause this. i know it couldnt be a hardware issue as during the freeze. htop showed that the CPU and RAM werent being fully used at all, plus, i have never had any similar issues on windows at all. plus, my CPU has used up all of its resources ocne on a blender cycles render and no crashes or freezing happened there. its only specific to some games for some reason. TF2 doesnt have any issues with it at all.

i am running a core i7 960 alongside an r9 280. the RAM is 14 GBs. this issue persisted in both linux mint 21.3 and fedora 40, with with 6.8.11 kernel.

ive tried disabling swap or starting steam without CEF, but nothing worked.this is a bizarre issue that i havent seen anybody have issues with so im not sure of what else to do next. i apologize if the fix is quite simple since searching on the internet of the error messages didnt give me anything useful.

if you want more information about journalctl -b 1 than dont be afraid to ask.
