Does Internet radio require any cookies or tracking?
by JASlinux from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6NJF7)
I have a couple basic live stream players in my distro. When I visit radio pages in a browser, permissions ask for a slew of functional cookies & for the mysterious "vendors".
The players take a simple URL & work with zero privacy settings.
Most of the stations won't play in Tor Browser, but I have yet to try a system VPN.
How free of invasiveness is Internet radio? Do stations in open source players have more than my IP?
