Firefox puking on Current of 2024-05-05
by business_kid from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6NMQP)
I had firefox on 2024-05-05 and all was fine. No changes recently, but I don't use firefox very much. Then it started puking. It gave me a few pages of debug. I grepped them foe "error" as a lazy way out, and it seemed suddenly to be taking exception to my video card, but it didn't say why. Everything else seems happy with it. My video is an AMD RX6600XT, running on the 6.6.30 kernel drivers.
After checking glibc versions, I updated to Current's browser FF-127.x. The video griping stopped, but the crashing didn't https://pastebin.com/KSg5yhe9
I know I'm not quite current, but I'm lazy, and not very good at being a crash tester for the next slackware. BTW, Brave, Chromium-ungoogled & Palemoon all work here without issue.
