Have a desktop PC. The OS is Windows 10.
Want to install Min onto one of the HDDs on this PC, a C-dive, an idle HDD, and a USB external HDD.

Plan to install Mint onto the idle HDD, but have a question as following.

Says on the internet: "A crucial issue is whether the host machine uses UEFI or BIOS."
My PC runs Windows 10 and uses UEFI.

It says, "This is crucial because thereis a bug in the Ubuntu installer, also used by Mint, which in UEFI will bollix the internal hard driveis boot loader..." And it continues, "... ways around the UEFI installer bug... is to remove the internal hard drive while installing to USB, ..."

I am to install Mint onto a HDD, not USB, but the "bug" is in the Mint installer no matter where it installs.

The way to around the UEFI installer bug is to remove the internal HDD while installing Mint.

Here comes my question: How to remove the internal drive while installing Mint?

Thanks.
