Cups driver for MF4150 printer

I have a Canon MF4150 laser printer. It would be my only working printer now, so this is not an optional.
This used to work under Linux and ought to work under Linux 5.
It does not seem to be supported under the available cups printers.

The Canon supplied driver package supports Ubuntu, and Debian style.
The requirements seem to include:
GTK3
redhat-lsb-core
jbigkit-libs
and some others that are standard (that I have).

I run 32 bit, and it supports 32 bit fine.
Now I had a driver for this thing under Slackware linux 4.4, also 32 bit, and had used it.

I do not have the GTK3 (AFAIK).
I do not have the redhat-lsb-core.
I have no idea why I ought to need either of these to install something that can talk to this printer.

I have found the cnrdrvcups-common for slackware 15 on slackbuilds.
From the Canon install script, it seems to be used for the UFRII driver.

Does anyone know anything about getting this to work on Slackware 15.

I seem to have several choices:
1. Try to satisfy the GTK3 and redhat lib requirements.
2. Try to rewrite the install to something Slackware can support.
3. Try to use an available CUPS driver to at least get some functionality.
4. Try to compile cnrdrvcups-common from source, and see what functionality that provides.
5. Try to compile cnrdrvcups-lb from the source found in the UFRII driver tar file.
6. Try to compile an older version, I have UFRII 5.80 and 5.90.
7. Go searching for the Linux 4 driver source package.
8. Try to use the Linux 4 drivers, as is.

Too many options.
Been flailing at this too many times already.
Anyone been down this path before, have anything that might help ?

I really do not need for someone to try to interpret the docs from a fresh start, as I have already read them, several times already.
