Migration - CENTOS 7 to Rocky Linux 9

All, I know this is quite possibly not the correct forum but I decided to add it anyways. Since CENTOS 7 (I loved that OS) is no longer getting updates I wanted to see about migrating my server (Cisco UCS C200 M2) from CENTOS 7 to Rocky Linux 8... then upgrading to 9.x. Of course I was interested initially with the "in Place" migration. I was hoping to find some feedback about this possible migration and if it is worth it instead of just removing CENTOS 7 and installing a fresh install of Rocky 9.x. I have 3 KVM VMs (I have the XML and data backups stored) and a PLex Server (I have the library and all content backed up along with the config files and the Preferences.XML file).

I have questions, but I wanted to see if there is any chatter out there about these types of migrations.
