I've always pictured GWS taking place somewhere near the borders of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York.They're looking off into the hilly northwest distance, beyond the last bit of civilization that defines their town. (I think it's funny that we never, ever get a name of the town they live in. I still don't know it!)
