Need help to setup dual boot (Windows and Linux)
by HerbK98 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6P7S4)
With the approaching end of support for Win10, I decided to look into Linux as a way to continue to use my laptop (Lenovo E560) beyond that Windows end-of-support date. Internet searches seem to lead to Ubuntu as the 'best' distro for newbies, so I downloaded Ubuntu, created a bootable flash drive, and installed it successfully. I poked around a little, checked for updates, downloaded and installed them, then rebooted.
Now, after rebooting, the computer loads Windows and I don't know how to boot it into Ubuntu. I read an app called GRUB can create a dual-boot environment, but that has been a huge brick wall for me. I start to read the instructions and my eyes glaze over. Can anyone out there guide me in making my laptop dual-boot into Windows or Linux?
