Ras Pi 3 - Fails to boot after kernel upgrade from 6.6.31 to 6.9.9
by camorri from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6P9HH)
My Raspberry Pi 3 has been running without issues for several years. Today I decided to upgrade the kernel to version 6.9.9.
I downloaded all 5 packages, and did a upgradepkg *.txz after I ran an md5sum check on all 5 packages. All good.
The system boots to a point, I see a message the root file system was checked in 'read only' mode and is clean.
It then tryies to remount the file system read/write. The remount never happens. I see an INFO message 'task mount:556 blocked for more than 491 seconds'.
The system poops out about a Call trace and about 15 lines. If I leave it alone, the messages re-appear with the same messages, just the time 'blocked' is updated.
Any one else see this?
Suggestions on how to recover?
