Hello, wise fellow Linuxites.
by Tarquinus from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6PBRF)
I have been trying to post this as a Linux Newbie, but kept finding myself here. Maybe this is where I'm supposed to be, anyway, so I'll continue:
I am nonagenarian Tarquinus, and, having joined just today, this is my first post here.
I read about computer stuff, I fix computer stuff, and I build computers.
I came to the Forum looking for a solution to a problem I had in my Linux Zorin 17.1 recent installation. It was about my WiFi connection, which frequently dropped out. Before long, though, I remembered the mysterious Belarc dongle that had been sitting, forgotten, in a desk drawer. Not remembering what it was for,I plugged it in, anyway, and the problem was instantly fixed.
Whilst Belarc seemed no longer to offer this useful adapter, I checked locally, here in New Zealand, and found one of another brand, @ $NZ31. I then checked on an international retailing site, where I found three, ranging from ~ $NZ9 to $NZ54. It pays to shop around.
Nice to be here, at this nice Forum.
