Error: file /grub/i386-pc/normal.mod not found in Centos VM

Hi,
I have Centos 7 VM (running on VMWare). Suddenly it went into hung state and when I rebooted, it is stuck at grub menu. Based on the error I tried to fix with with help of some online posts, but it didn't help. Please see attached "Capture1" jpg.
Is there anything else I can try here ?

I downloaded Centos 7 iso and VM is boot from that iso. I am in rescue mode and mounted the drives and attached "capture2" jpg is showing current state of file-system.

Please advice, what else I can try to bring this VM up.

Edit - While browsing, I found one RedHat article, which suggests below command. But I not sure if I should run this or it can screw server more
Code:# cp -r /usr/lib/grub/i386-pc /boot/grub2/i386-pcCurrently there are 545 files in /usr/lib/grub/i386-pc and 271 in /mnt/sysimage/boot/grub2/i386-pc
In fact there is no .mod in /boot/grub2/i386-pc and there are 257 *.mod files in /usr/lib/grub/i386-pc. Should I run cp to copy all content as per above command?

Thanks
